Here at The Yarn Company, we offer FREE postage and packaging over a certain amount, depending on where you would like your products shipped to.
United Kingdom
Free standard delivery over £25 (£2.75 under) using First Class Royal Mail, usually arrives next business day if the order is placed before 2pm UK time. Books will be sent second class and items weighing over 1kg will be posted using Royal Mail Standard Parcels which usually arrive in 3-5 business days. A signature may be required on receipt.
Please note: Weight restriction of 2kg may apply. If any single product on your order is over 2kg, please be prepared to pay for further postage costs as we will ask you after placing the order.
Europe
Free standard delivery over £30 or equivalent in local currency (£3.75 under) using Airmail. EU Airmail usually arrives 3-5 business days after despatch.
Please note: Weight restriction of 2kg may apply. If any single product on your order is over 2kg, please be prepared to pay for further postage costs as we will ask you after placing the order.
Rest of the World
Free standard Delivery over £35 or equivalent in local currency (£4.25 under) using Airmail or a courier. Usually arrives 5-7 business days after despatch, however please allow up to 14 days. Some products are excluded from this offer due to high postage costs, such a product is clearly highlighted on the product information page.

We aim to deliver your goods as quickly as possible in accordance with the delivery option you have selected. You will receive an email to confirm when your order has been despatched. FAQs
If there is no one at home
If there is no one in to receive your delivery, the delivery driver will leave a card, this gives you the option to arrange a re-delivery or collect at your convenience.
Customs
The Yarn Company products are sold in Pounds Sterling on a delivery duty unpaid basis. Outside of the EU, the recipient may have to pay import duty or a formal customs entry fee prior to or on delivery. Additional taxes, fees or levies may apply according to local legislation and customers are advised to check these details themselves before placing the order.
Parcel Tracking
if you would like enhanced delivery services ontop of your free delivery you can select to pay an additional £2.75 (or equivalent in local currency) at the checkout. Enhanced delivery includes online tracking via www.royalmail.com
Recycling
At The Yarn Company we make a conscious effort to recycle. Not only do we recycle all paper etc in our despatch centre, we also go the extra mile when it comes to packaging. All of our distinctive red postage bags are 100% degradable and our tissue paper is acid free. For parcels weighing over 1kg it is not uncommon for you to receive your order in a box that has previously been used for other goods. But don't worry, the box is checked for quality and reinforced with parcel paper.
Lost or Damaged Items
In the unlikely event that your items are lost or damaged please retain both the item and all packaging as they may need to be inspected for insurance purposes. Please email us immediately at sales@theyarncompany.co.uk detailing what has happened.
We cannot accept a claim for loss unless at least 15 working days for items posted to the UK, 20 working days for items posted to Europe or 25 working days for items to the rest of the world have passed since the item was posted.
Please note, The Yarn Company cannot be held responsible for any third party involvement where delays occur to deliveries.
