Our mission at The Yarn Company is to be the first retailer for yarn, fabric, gifts and accessories you consider when shopping online in the UK and around the world. We strive to offer friendly and efficient customer service, a clear and simple shopping experience and same day despatch. 

At The Yarn Company we send yarns, knitting needles, fabrics, haberdashery, accessories and beautiful gifts from our head office in Cheshire, England to happy customers around the world. If you have any questions, please  do not hesitate to contact us.

A little bit of history...

The Yarn Company was set up by Beverley Ozard and Harry Picken. 

Ever since she was young, Beverley had a keen interest in textiles shown through graduating with a BEd (hons) in Design and Technology and a textiles specialism. After a period of teaching she set up a continental clothing shop for children before establishing Homemade, a lifestyle shop where you can have a go at pottery painting, craft courses or browse the wonderful range of vintage gifts, fresh cupcakes, yarn and haberdashery . Beverley's husband, Andy Ozard runs a neighbouring tearooms, Ginger and Pickles.

Harry graduated with a BA (hons) in International Business and saw potential in creating an online yarn and fabric shop. Harry adds, "The Yarn Company seems like a natural progression from our established family businesses. With growing yarn and fabric sales in Homemade and collecting customer feedback, it was clear that there was not an online company offering a clear, easy to use website with friendly customer service, fast delivery at the best possible prices".
